The Basic (Non-Plus) Structure includes the following components:

Front Matter: Use this component to build program information for your course (sections include General/Certificate Information, Learning Objectives, Faculty, Disclosures/ Accreditation Statements, etc.). Content is collected via commentary fields, drop-down menus and items from the Author Tool Kit.

Introduction: Use this freeform component to provide a brief description for your course.

Pre Test: Use this component to add multiple choice or true/false Pre Test question(s) to the course. In this section, you can also provide commentary and link questions to specific learning objectives, subject matter and quality measures.

Pre Test Score: This component allows the learner to view the score they obtained at the Pre Test (but not the correct answers to each question). You have the option to show the average and median scores, and distribution of answers per question.

Activity Content: Use this component to enter course content. Slides, graphics or video clips can be included.

References: This component presents a master list of all references that appear in a course. No additional work is required to populate this component, as it is auto-generated.

Learner Feedback: This page allows the learner to provide feedback and rate a course. No additional work is required to populate this component.

Post Test: Use this component to add multiple choice or true/false Post Test question(s) to the course. You can provide commentary and link questions to specific learning objectives, subject matter and quality measures. You also have the option to pair Pre and Post Test questions.

Pre/Post Test Review: This component allows the learner to view the correct responses to Pre and Post Test questions, along with response distributions. You also have the option to show response distributions and show paired Pre and Post Test questions side by side.

Evaluation: Use this component to enter post-course assessment questions. The questions are entered and selected from the Author Tool Kit.

Certification: This component allows a learner to claim credit earned for completing a course. Certificate information is entered in the Front Matter component. No additional work is required to populate this component, as it is auto-generated.
