Supported Browsers for Authors & Learners:*

  • Internet Explorer 9.0+ for Windows 2003, Vista, XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.1
  • Google Chrome** 28.0+ for Windows, Mac OS, or Linux
  • Mozilla Firefox** 23.0+ for Windows, Mac OS, or Linux
  • Safari 6.0+ for Mac OSX 10.7 and above

*We do not support older browser versions than those listed above.
**Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox have moved to a rapid release cycle. We support all newer stable versions of Chrome and Firefox.

SeamlessCME Requirements for Learners:

  • For Android phones and tablets, we support Android 4.0.3 and above.
  • For iPhones and iPads, we support iOS 7.0 or above with an internet connection.

Audio Requirements for Authors:

  • Web Browser:
    • MP3: CD Quality – 44.1 kHz, 2 channels at 16 bits per channel or 2×16 bit, 320kbit/s
  • iPhone/iPad/Android:
    • MP3: CD Quality – 44.1 kHz, 2 channels at 16 bits per channel or 2×16 bit, 320kbit/s

Video Requirements for Authors:*

  • Web Browser:
    • MPEG-4 video: using H.264 video and AAC audio in .mp4, .m4v, or .mov formats.
    • We recommend video up to 2.5 Mbps, 800 x 600 pixels, 30 fps for best playback experience. Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio.
  • iPhone or Android:
    • MPEG-4 video: using H.264 video and AAC audio in .mp4, .m4v, or .mov formats.
    • We recommend video up to 1.5 Mbps, 640 x 480 pixels, 30 fps for best playback experience. Low-Complexity version of the H.264 Baseline Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio.

We recommend that you use one video per page.
Videos play in HTML-5; our Authoring Tool converts Flash and MPEG-4 videos to HTML-5 format.

Image Requirements for Authors:

  • Web Browser:
    • JPEG, GIF, and PNG image files are supported.
    • We recommend 500px wide.
    • All formats must be encoded in RGB.
  • iPhone or Android:
    • JPEG, GIF, and PNG image files are supported.
    • We recommend 500px wide for phones.
    • All formats must be encoded in RGB.
